heater switch

hi started the car this morning and the heater blower came on full power even though it was turned off (spooky ) the switch has been playing about resently. can anyone tell me how to get the switch out ....how to remove the dash around the switch.im going to try some switch cleaner on it if i can get too it. or any better ideas. thanks.

Isn't this the problem caused by failure of the late type resistor pack?
There's a fairly recent thread on it somewhere.

resistor pack turned up this morning. 12.99 of ebay. fitted it this afternoon....and alls good. great......thanks.

Old thread I know but gratefully found!

Had my Multispace for 13 years and this occurred when the car was nearly new and fixed under warranty (but only after they tried to charge me £170).

It's happened again so have ordered the resistor pack.

Thanks to all once again for a forum that has saved me thousands I reckon.
