I'd get a friend or a garage with a code reader to have a look and see which faults are being logged.

Obvious first suspect is the brake fluid level.
It may LOOK OK, but it's really, really finnicky and if it's not at or very near the max level, it's probably that.

Yup, 'downhill first' is definitely the brake fluid.
At the same time check the master cylinder for traces of moisture.
The vacuum tube that connects to the inlet manifold, and if you can, examine the brakes on all the wheels.
The fluid has to go somewhere...

Topped the fluid up this morning it seems to have sorted it, now to find the leak!
