Wing mirror replacement
#1
I need to replace my passenger side outside mirror (on coming traffic crossed over into my lane and I had to take evasive action and smacked it against a sign). I've got the .mht file that shows how to replace the mirror but it doesn't say how to remove the black plastic boxy bit on the inside of the door that covers the screws and electrical connections. Has anyone done this??? Just a simple careful pry off?? Thanks in advance.

Hi 3rensho,
Yes you slowly pry off the cover there are 2 fasteners at its base as you try and take this cover off you will see them if you look inside. The mirror housing is held in place by 3 torque screws but I hink you will have to take the door trim off as the lower two are below the trim I have had to take the black cover off as I had a leaking door mirror at the tip of the housing hope this helps
