Had a flat & changed the offside rear (right hand drive car) & noticed an electrical connection just forward of the hub, level with the inside of the wheel arch. The strain relief has broken, exposing a pair of wires that will suffer corosion problems before too long now they're unprotected.
I failed to see where these go but it looked like they plugged into a second cable that ran forwards; the cable with the strain relief problem looped up and towards the rear centre. In my mind, this rules out ABS or brake lining warning systems but it could loop back around from t'other side (it was getting dark & my priority was to get the wheel back on!)
Given I'll have to replace this before long, anyone clued-up as to what this cable is for so I know what failure / warnings to anticipate?
Cheers!
