Roof rails V roof rack
#1
Hi All,
Just got my first van, after driving trooper vans for 21years.
What a joy to get 52mpg instead of 20mpg. Big Grin
I was thinking of a roof rack for the odd time I need to carry a ladder.
Could take it off when not needed.
A better idea would be a set of roof rails in black, and a couple of cross bars which could be fitted when I need a ladder.
Has anyone done this and which rails and bars would you recommend.
Thanks in advance

Mine came with rails that run lengthwise on the car (silver colour) and later I bought a set of Citroen cross bars to carry stuff. Used them only a couple of times and they work OK. I'm sure the lads who carry lots of things will chime in soon.

Heya, I would recommend any of the Rhino or Van Guard bars, a 2 or 3 bar system would be perfect for carrying lighter loads like a ladder, a full gallery rack would be more suitable for heavier loads.
