What screw is this?
#1
I want to remove the lower silver section of my rear bumper to fit my towbar but the screws are an odd type

I've looked on the interweb and they could be tri-wing, y-star or something else

Does anybody know what screws these are and whether there is a way to remove them without having to buy the necessary screwdriver bit

I think that is a rivet & you will need to drill it out .

I am surprised that you need to remove that to fit your towbar. Ours (and others that I have seen) come out under the bumper.

Sorry, should have updated this thread

All OK now

I wanted to see if the silver plastic trim could be removed to give me a little bit more clearance when fitting before putting it back on after the towbar was fitted

In the end I did get the towbar on, but it was slightly more difficult because of the clearance issues
