hi there i want to fit a towbar to my 09 plate berlingo mk3 is there a plug in socket for electrics at the tailgate i have told the electrics are a nightmare i have been quoted £440 in oban and £280 to fit in glasgow for job cheers :-)

Hi Jonathan , if you search my posts for ' perm. live in boot area of mk111 multispace' you will see that I found that you can wire a decoupling relay for connection of towbar wiring to berlingo car electrics. Pretty easy if you follow the guide , good luck!

i purchased a swan neck bosal one with relay electric kit £125 out of motor factors, half an hour and towbar was fitted and less than an hour for the electrics, straightforward connections, everything works as it should. £280 sounds ok for a mechanic for his work

Bought a secondhand removable swankneck towbar from a gentleman on this forum for £50 and then a genuine Citroen 13pin elctric kit for £126 from a dealer
The genuine Citroen kit was just plug and play
