What would be reccomended in restoring a Citreon Berlingo which will not start

Hi,
After 2 years of not being driven I decided to try to start my Berlingo, when the key is put in the ignition no noise is made and the car engine does not start. I would put this down to a dead battery, however I am unsure how to fix this problem, also i would love to have reccomendations for any other possible faults which may need to be restored before taking the car on the road.

At first, charge the battery. If battery is not charging, buy new battery.

If the car has been standing unused for 2 yrs & the battery has not been charged then battery will have probably had it. Check oil & water & then try jump starting or just put new battery on. One hopes handbrake is not siezed & discs are not too rusted. If car is over 3yrs old your first road trip will be to a prebooked mot test & you might as well get car serviced at same time because it will need it. It would be a good idea pump up tyres to correct pressure before you drive it.
