hdi air doseur in air metering unit oil leak
#1
i recently posted about a oil leak that seemed to be running on to the alternater from the pipes above it ,after it bit more research , its common on citroens the c4 site covers it a bit , seemingly its the air doseur ( inlet air metering unit ) that leaks oil from degraded seals ,then ends up on the alternater buggering that up , so now can it be repaired or a new unit needed ,any one else have this happen , or best way to fix , heres some pics the yellow dot is where it runs down before dripping on to alternator , my car is a 1.6 hdi 110 bhp 2010 model.

thankyou open space ,yes there is silcone all over the air doser metering unit ,now the plot thickens ,checking service history quote (oil leak from engine area done under warranty ) now the fix under warranty was to spread silcon all over it , to me this is not a fix ,and the part should been replaced this was in 29/12/2011 , now they new this fix would not last ,so they should put it right , contacted said citroen garage ,they going to ring me back .

I started a similar thread in the M59 section, but this one seems to cover the subject too, although from a few years ago.
If anyone has a good fix for this, it would be interesting to see,
