XTR cabin filter

I've just bought a 09 new shape XTR that I'm really pleased with.
I need to change the cabin air filter as it smells a bit when I turn on the fan (it''s fine when I use the A/C). I believe that it fits under the dash on the passenger side but I can't see how to remove it. Can anyone help? Also where's the best place to buy a replacement?

hoi there just out of interfest as i have just bought a xtr,,, which thread is it please is it the air filter one under the bonnet that cost £8 to replace,, sorry fot being thick!!!
