I've just got a 1.9 2007 berlingo van and there is no alarm on it or Central locking is this right with vans from that year

I had a 2003 berlingo and that had central locking, it seems odd to me for something newer not to have it.
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4

A lot of the vans where my wife works had the central locking and immobiliser disabled as the fobs were broken by drivers over the years.
So where does this bit go then ?

My 2005 has remote locking but it doesn't work so when I bought it the dealer told it did not have central locking at all and just gave me the spare key (no buttons) when I picked the van up... I was none the wiser till I found the blipper key in the service folder a week later.....It works occasionally.... :brickwall:

My dad has a 06 dispatch, no CL or alarm, and even wind down windows, so I imagine the Berlingo base model to have been similar.
My mk3 doesn't have an alarm though, so an 07 not having one doesn't surprise me.
