leak of oil from sump

Hi recently my husband changed the oil pickup pipe on our 2006 berlingo multispace 1.6 hdi (we had a 'low oil' warning light coming on) and after some advice given on this forum discovered the filter was gunged up.
Anyway he changed the oil warning switch and the oil pickup pipe,but now we have a leak of oil from the sump. He has had the sump of again and put in some more sump sealant but leak is persisting. Has anyone any advice to offer on this or does anyone know if you can actually buy a proper sump gasket for this car or if it is just a sump sealant he has to use. Grateful for any advice.

The 1.6 hdi doesn't have a gasket, I remove plenty of them and never really have a problem . I just seal,them up with RTV silicone.
Maybe he distorted the sump when he first removed it, they take some levering off, and are easily bent. If he takes it off again, check it on a flat surface, a tap,with a mallet will easily straighten it out.

Be very careful to wipe off all oil residue on both the sump pan and the edge it mates to. Any oil there can make the silicone or whatever sealant fail to seal properly.
