Which is best Mrk1 or Mrk2

High all, I am on the look out for a Mrk 1 berlingo or Peugeot Partner Comi / Quick silver 1.9 Diesel.
I wont to run it on bio diesel, so I figured the older model would be best suited for this purpose.
I have read somewere that the Mrk 1 has less electronic engine "gubines" so might make it more suitable.

But time is running out for me to find a decent Mrk1 so I might have to consider a Mrk2.
Has any one out there owned both, that can tell me the prose and cons of each vehicle?
Or better still has anyone tried to run the Mrk 2 on bio diesel.

Just read somwere that it is more dificult to take the seats out of the Mrk1.
Tips like this would be useful.

I believe the 'engine gubines' are pretty similar on the Mk. I and II.
The big difference in electronics is the BSI (Berlingo Systems Interface) and the fact that the OBD II port isn't all that standard on the Mk. I

The BSI 'ties everything together' on the Mk. II, but on the Mk. I, it's mostly a block of fuses. (On Mk. II, central locking goes through the BSI, on the I, it's a separate box hidden behind a panel behind the driver's seat. And on Mk. II, you need to use OBD II and LEXIA to reconfigure the stereo to use an external CD-changer or iPod pretending to be one. On the I, you instead slot in a proper Pioneer stereo set. And miss the remote buttons or whatever is on the steering wheel... )

The BIG difference between them is that the Mk. II is known as the 'facelift model', which is most easily seen by the larger headlights. The redesigned front comes with improved crash protection.

Never tried to take the rear seats out of my Mk. I.
not really had a reason to as the amount of room available when you fold them own is quite staggering.

Well written reply above. I personally find it exactly what it is, a face lift version. I'm pretty happy with my Mk2 to be honest. No air conditioning, no abs pump, the plastic trim is cheap and light, it's like somebody heard the peoples voices and gave them what they wanted. Just give them central locking and throw 1 electric mirror as a feature and you call it job done. The icing on the cake is the switch module that connects to the COM2000 to control the stereo inputs for those lazy pirate days.
But joke aside it drives like a hatchback car and I haven't had major problems with the electrics. Get whichever you find cheap and ticks your requirements.
