Interesting Discovery (Pop-up Roof M49)
#1
A mate pointed out today, the whole pop-up bit can be easily removed. "Look, it's a Targa top" he says.

To think that in eighteen months I'd only managed to unhook the hinges and flop it forward, not even thinking about complete removal by sliding to the right off its pivot pins. This find simplifies cleaning, buffing (better access) and summer coolness.

Do you mean you have removed the whole glass Modutop?

No, my van has the short black "flap" at the rear of its roof; this hinges up to allow transporting of oversize baguettes and post- rigor mortis basketballers.

Anyway, now I know it also may be readily taken off, I can volunteer as Papal transport on his next visit to Australia.
