I have a 54 reg berlingo multispace and when i bought it 3 years ago the airbag light was on and the horn didnt work. As the warning lights on was not a failure for its first mot i wired up the horn through the dash, since then i have had fitted a brand new comm 2000 re wired the horn and all was ok for about 1 month. The horn then packed in again but the airbag light stayed off until last year when i took it in to have the tracking done. Came out the garage, 4 mile up the road beep and the light was on. When starting up from cold the light was out only to come on a few mile up the road. This settled down after a while and i breathed a sigh of relief, no sign of light for almost a year and the other day i had to pull of the road and a big hole was hidden in a puddle. Drove off then guess what, a few mile up the road the beep and warning light on. Now it just does not go off at all after starting. I presume there must be a sensor on the axles somewhere so maybe this is the problem. The horn is now permanently wired through the dashboard to a separate button. Has anyone any ideas please.

I have the same horn problem as you, mine was disconected when I bought the van so I reconnected it but it's permently on. So I've put it on a separate switch like you . I'm stumped too

Loads on airbags on here - simply loads !
Mine was a break in a twisted pair of wires behind the N.S. headlihjt, but get a coffee, try a search and be prepared for a lot of reading.
Re the horn, lots have reported the earth is the problem, routing a new one via the steering column has sorted it

My airbag light is on permanently too - wasn't sure if it was an MOT failure? (due in September) but Wullawulla seems to think not.

It's worth checking the connectors under the seat for airbag light problem. Mine used to come on intermitantly. I solved it by putting cable ties around the length of the connector plugs so they couldn't work loose, the light has never come on since.

I had the same solution as stuartinlancashire.
I soldered the wires together as no amount of disconnecting and connecting again gave a permanent fix.I think there may be a high resistance developing in this plug/socket.

Re the horn did you test for 12v at the switch and at the horn itself?
Did you make a temporary earth to see if that fixed it?
It could well be the horn and airbag are related problems, fix one fix the other
