hi all, new member and new owner of a berlingo van 1.9D pleased to join your forum
hoping to get help advice and friends on here
im a pretty hands on type when it comes to the spanners but by no means a mechanic
this is my first diesel motor so its a bit new to me but i understand the basic principle

thanks jed for your reply, well i bought this 1.9d van for a reasonable price its a 2001 with 177k on the clock.. its an x council van so i fingers crossed hope it has been serviced at some point (s)
it is running ok at the mo ,a few creaks and knocks at roundabouts buts its getting on a bit
had a slight scare wednesday when the red radiator/ coolant top up light flickered on the dash . upon inspection it was a bit low but was clean ie no oil present ( thinking head gasket failure)
im going to keep an eye on it and if it drops again i will put anti freeze in and look for white (hunting) leak staines around rad,hoses and head gasket
apart from the windscreen washer not working everything seems ok
planning to go italy in august with it
