(hopefully) first time owner

Hi,
I hope to take delivery of my first Berlingo on Thursday - a 2005, 2.0 Hdi Desire. Really looking forward to it, especially the space! I'm bound to have loads of questions so really glad I've found this forum, but to start with, can anyone recommend anybody in the Sheffield area for servicing etc (other than the main dealers).
Thanks for your help. Chris.

Hello and welcome. I use the Maltby Service Centre. Unsure of the phone number as I just nip due to it being across from my work. An honest family run business.

Thanks Jed and Silverfox. HPI issue seems to be sorted now (there was a typo in the VIN) so should be picking up on Thursday. I think the first thing I'll do is get the cam belt and water pump changed as it has done almost 70K and don't think they have been changed yet.

That's a good thing to do and if they have not a full service i would do that as well and she should serve you well Confusedalut:

Well it's here and happy so far (although I've only been to the supermarket and back to put some diesel in!). One thing - there's only one key. Will it be expensive to get another one cut? I don't need it to operate the central locking but presumably it will need a chip in it? Thanks. Chris.

You will be able to get one cut in a shop that cut's car key they will have a chip in it i think you put the new key on the dash with the old one you turn the ing on / off ten time that should code the new key they cost around £50 and the shop will tell you how to do it

Usually your lockie can clone a chip, or you use Lexia/Diagbox to program in the new key. Catch here is, you need the "confidential code" which was originally supplied with the car. Else you may have to beg this from a dealer after showing your licence and the V5.
