Second-Hand Plip Question

This only applies to the pre-BSI Berlingos, so up to about middle-2000 production.

Has anyone successfully used a plip from another Berlingo, just coded in the normal way (key on, press and hold large button, release after ten seconds)?

There are so few Berlingos here from that age with remote plips, I have no chance of playing with one before I possibly buy some bits. Obviously, though, I don't want to pay for stuff if it won't function!

Do you mean a remote with just one button?
(Please say so. Mine died during the spin cycle in the washer, and I'd love to replace it... )

I thought they had one button to lock, and one to unlock?

Our 2002 1.4 has 2 buttons. Don't know about syncing key though. Sorry
