I wouldn't ignore the light and wouldn't start the car without verifying that the oil pressure is sufficient. Might be the valve lifters clattering cause of no oil pressure.

Usually caused by worn synchro rings in the gearbox, but sometimes there can be a problem with a shift linkage.

When fluid wasn't coming out but I could hear washer pump pressurising I blew air into the fluid line with a tyre pump until I heard bubbling in the fluid reservoir.

On our Renault it's 4th (when counting from left to right while standing in front of the engine) if I remember correctly.

Maybe water got on electronics. Does the dash light up? Check fault codes.

It doesn't have to pass over the treads, because the WHOLE gater should be put on the stud in the beginning before stretching it over. I hope OP understands what I mean by that. Work smarter, not hard...
