It was the clutch pedal return spring. This acts in the manner of an over-centre catch and as such is a bit of a bugger to refit as the spring is almost fully compressed when at rest.

| Just a quick note to say that you cannot undo the strut top nut with an impact gun, without an Allen key as it will spin the strut and undo it internally hence wrecking the whole strut.

| Hi andylobb the diesels have always been 12 months but used to be 12500 miles. Like you say they have gone up to 18000 or 12 months and the oil has changes to 0w30 but that is to do with fuel economy.... |
