Same thing happened to mine
It was one of the small blade fuses behind the dash if I remember correctly.

hi,
problem solved. it was one of the fuses in the box in the engine bay that was the problem. it did not break in the normal way, but inside the plastic so impossible to see with the bare eye, had to be testet. note to one selves; next time exchange fuse with new one just in case.

Maybe the fuse I replaced was under the bonnet!
Lol.
It was a situation so similar to the OP.
But embarrassing having to go back into Halfords to buy fuses after the engine wouldn't start !!!
