Question for camper converted Berlingos - Tonyash - 15-07-2015

Hi, when using the Berlingo for sleeping in how do members ensure adequate ventilation?
The obvious answer is to leave a window slightly ajar but depending where you are this could attract the attention of undesirables.
Is there any possibility of fitting vents in the rear inner plastic liners then through to the wheel arches somehow?
Just a thought, but this is something I would like to do myself.

Why would you need a vent? You can drive in it with 5 people all day long and it's fine... 7 people if you've the bigger one?

I think that in the past you said you had window deflectors fitted? Could you not just crack the front window open 1/2 inch that should give reasonable security.

Failing that something like :-

but I think they would leave the window open quite wide.

I wouldn't of thought that vents through the wheel arches would be a very good idea for either camping or driving.

When camping surely your mattress etc or camping box (amdro type for eg) would block them and when driving you'd get extra wind noise and rain going into the external part of the vent.

I wouldn't worry about ventilation, I've never heard of anyone who uses their car as a camper mention such a problem.

Where on the car gets most road grit, salt and water thrown at it ? Don't sleep in places where undesirables might frequent and just leave the ventilation set to the cabin so air will circulate naturally, the car is far from airtight.

Unfortunately these sort of window grills don't work on the berl window because the front windows have the verticle gap.....
