wimpy's pimped MK1
#21
One of the first modified Berlingos I've seen and I've been looking quite hard for some inspiration. I like what you've done to it, not too in your face and quite subtle. I like the debadged look. Where did you get the debadged front grille from, or did you do it yourself? Have you also smoothed the rear door and if so is it easy to take the badges off? (Does it leave holes to be filled?)

I'm still interested in the drl lights. I have the mk2 though so bumper is different. If You have a look at my berlingo pic would you have any suggestions as where to put them?

Any pics of you drl? How easy was it to fit them to the grill? I would want to use the spaces where the air con button is meant to be but would need to find a button too

I don't know what year the splitter is from, but i guess 95-96. It has the same size as the ones with vents. I had to remove about 15 cm from the middle, I used a heat-gun and plastic welded them together.

I've made the grill myself. I just cut out what I wouldn't have, used fiberglass and filler to remove the markings from the badge.
Badges on the rear where VERY carefully remover with a flat screwdriver, the glue and tape residues can be removed with "label remover" There where no holes to be filled.
There is a tread with modified berlingos on the forum don't know if you've seen it? Berlingo Modifications

That's a hard one lemsworld, I don't know where I would fit drl's on a mk2. Maybe inside the glass, like a audi. Some kind of led stirp.

Yoy may steel my plans, and fit HID prosjetors. Would be easyer for you because you have clear glass on your head lights.
