I know what you mean about hitting ur head, I did it all the time in my vw camper....and now yes I have bought a cheap 2 berth freedom, ultra light, less than 500 . nice and cheap but still a collectors item, but dont have to worry about knocking it. Great fun. But the Eribas do look so bloody good. Thats a neat and tidy awning my man....

What's the car hande like when towing your Monza?
Mine had a tow bar and electric socket fitted when I got it, but they both stuck out so much people kept running into it when they parked!
(terrible parking problems where I live)
Decided to remove it completely when I discovered the only way to get the spare wheel out of the cradle was to use a trolley jack.

It tows the monza ok, its probably lighter than the Eriba, I'm guessing about 600kg. Mines the 110bhp so more than enough power. My old 'lingo was the 70bhp 1.9 diesel so struggled a bit on hills with the Eriba. I've got the Citroen supplied swan neck towbar on my current one, the spare wheel comes out ok. My previous 'lingo had a Brink swan neck on. I like swan necks, they look neater.
Hi pch, yes, I had a T25 camper & really it needed to be a hard hat area, the Eriba was nearly as bad tho particularly trying to cook & bangin me head on the lip below the pop top. We visited a friend with a small house last yr so we slept in his T2 Westy(Helsinki interior)on his drive, lovely van, worth about £10k but I couldn't live with the continous headaches! We tented in France last yr, first time for yrs in our old frame tent & it was nice to have a camping trip with no headbanging!
However, can't be arsed with a tent any more so I got this Monza off ebay for France this yr. Its solid & bone dry which is main requirement of an old caravan. I shall get a 'chassis service' brakes/bearings & new tyres & it will be ready to go.
