Window blinds

We haven't used it yet, but we have set it all up. There are two crates built into the unit and there's space on the floor under the bed in the middle. There is also storage in the rear footwell, even when the bed is up. We've bought another couple of 21 litre storage boxes to fit in there.
We are going to be using it mostly when we stay overnight at recetracks so we also carry quite a bit of equipment for the racing car. To accomodate that we have bought a Caranex "awning" http://www.caranex.com/ which goes on the back of the Berlingo, but we've yet to try it out. They claim 5 minutes to put it up... We shall see! We thought that would also allow us a little space where we can stand up, and protect us if it rains.
We've booked a night on a campsite to try it all out together before our first race meeting, just to be sure. Our driveway is too small!

Thanks very much for that. I had also thought about the Caranex - you sometimes see them on e-bay. We'll see how we go packing the usual stuff first.

does anyone know where the material to make blinds can be bought? (or is it just as well to find a local blind making company)

That's one of the annoying things about the Mk3 (not you getting undressed) is that the interior lights won't work without having the ignition on.
There isn't even an Accessory position on the key.

Hello - just pondering getting my rear windows tinted - at 25% can a passenger sitting in the back still enjoy the view? or is that pretty much full dark?
Many thanks,
Roger

25% is reasonably able to see out well enough to drive so I would think the passengers would get enough of a view through it. Just had a look and it's too dark for fronts as they are probably already tinted from the factory.
So where does this bit go then ?

I have an Amdo Boot Jump in my Berlingo Multispace. It is a superb bit of kit. The supplied Amdro window blinds work well. You can order it with an extra centre leg for the bed. This allows use with or without the removable rear seats. To the guy who has dogs, perhaps you could remove the seats & let the dogs sleep underneath the bed??? Otherwise, without the seats you get a lot more storage space. The only caution I have regarding the Amdro is that I find the bed cushions rather hard (but the bed is enormous!). As an alternative to the Amdro window blinds with suckers you could use  narrow adhesive Velcro around the windows & then Velcro blinds over the windows, this would actually be easier to deploy than the suckers. We plan to use the unit for several weeks at a time this summer.
