Hi guys, hope someone can assist me here. Are there different towbars for the L1 and L2 and how can you tell without actually measuring the vehicle? I want to order one but I am unsure what to purchase.

Hello there.

Yes, there are 2 types of towbars kits for the 2 possible car lengths. It is normally described by the tow bar manufacturer to which of the lengths it is made.

The long cars have 4628mm of length. Short cars will have 4380mm of length. These values are described in your car´s documents (registration).

Edit: at least in both Portuguese and also in German vehicle registration documents, these numbers are stated. maybe for other countries not?...

You can probably order correct towbar of one of the well known brands by quoting van vin number.
