Alternator Output 2004 1.9d Desire
#1
Hi All

How can I find out what the output of my alternator is?  I have recently acquired a small lightweight pop-top caravan so I need to have an S outlet fitted to the Berlingo.  I will be installing a large deep cycle leisure battery (approx 110 ah) in the van.  A mate who is advising me re incorporating the battery into the wiring system was wondering whether the Berlingo alternator's output was sufficient to charge both the Berlingo battery & the leisure battery?

I have looked in my Haynes Manual as well as online, but have not been able to find this information.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gordon

It will be about 55amp.
How are you going to split charge it?

I hadn't given this issue any thought yet. What would you suggest Col?

Sterling pro split R is what I fit.
Zero voltage loss and prioritises start battery first so will only start to charge leisure battery once start battery is over a certain voltage

For a pro split R? That's cheap.
