Rear doors on both sides didn't happen until the M59, I believe?
And it really should have been Red...
Postman Pat, Postman Pat...
I see a bit of rust around the high brakelight, which really needs fixing.
I may be mistaken, but it also looks like there's an issue with the lock on the boot?
And when I examine the line down the rear edge of the driver's door, the 6" or so below the handle looks... odd...
Check the compression on the engine.
It's most likely ready for a bit of an overhaul.
I always thought they had both rear doors. Somehow it seems odd, that the passengers can only go from one side.
It seems like a crowbar damage or the seatbelt buckle was caught on the door when someone tried to close it. My M59 (2007) has started to show the same signs of top stop light rust. Might have to do something about it, but without professional work it will look a bit ugly.

It is better than some other standard Berlingo shades, but only just. My sister, who is turquoise mad, went all wobbly at the knees first time she saw it. I love my current red one - not crass scarlet but a lovely rich red. The deep blue ones are great too - I might look for one of them next, or the emerald green which seems to be an M49 colour. I think the Berlingo suits bold rich colours. Never seen a black one though.... surprising when you think about it.
The high level brake light may be a problem. The rust does need attention soon, but be very careful! I had the idea once to replace the central bulb with a reversing camera, but could not remove the light at all, even after carefully going round the edge with a sharp blade.
Decided to buy a used one on eBay to examine it; it arrived extremely well packed but was cracked in two - clearly done when the breaker removed it for sale. Luckily they took it back and I got a full refund, but I think it may be that the plastic of these lights goes very brittle with age, and the shape being long and thin does not bode well for removal.

I believe it was possible to get a 2 door version as well, in the early years of the Berlingo era
The rust around brake light is also disturbing me, but as it is a car I will get rid of as soon as a proper Berlingo 2010-18 is up 4 sale, hopefully within a few months, I choose not to do anything to it, it will simply be way to difficult for someone like me without the proper knowledge to repair it and mostly color match it properly ??♂️
The car is a two owner vehicle, that has done 195.000 km, whis is very little, here in Denmark, and the engine is running fine, not fast or revving like a race car, but running fine
I will though change all fluids and filters and sparks, can see in the service history that was provided with the car that the sparks never were changed, but oil and filter was last changed at 182.000 km, 13 months ago, so imo it’s about time....
The car has been rust protected several times, last time in 2018, and the only rust is in the boot and very little surface rust in the engine bay-thingy here the radiator is located.....
But still, it’s a special color ??

Don't just leave the rust by the brake light, it will only get worse. I would carefully remove all the loose stuff and paint the exposed area with rust inhibitor to at least stabilise the situation. That would look much better than leaving it as it is now would look, when you come to sell it.
You can get pro colour matched touch up paint by just quoting the paint code on the door sticker, but the problem is blending it in - you may end up repainting the whole tailgate! So I would include new cans of pro colour matched paint and primer with the sale.
It is not a special colour. It is an ugly colour. It's what they call an acquired taste, a bit like eating frog's legs or horse meat or live insects. All benefit from a lot of French garlic.
Blegh!

If it is not a secret what chemicals did they used for the rust protection? I am thinking of making my own concoction of lanolin+petroleum jelly and mineral spirit for solvent/evaporation agent.
I suspect you would not know from the paperwork as you have just bought it, but there might be something that is commonly used in Denmark perhaps.

Hi again
Don’t know if it’s a secret, it’s something called pava and it’s a company that does rustproofing underneath the car and inside doors, frame, bonnet boot
It’s commonly done to almost all cars in Denmark I think, our cars are extremely expensive, due to an insane tax system where we pay 180% tax on new cars and we use shitloads of salt on our winter roads, so to protect our cars from rust we all use it
There different products, such as pava, dinitrol and so on
Hope it helps

Rust convertor is usually based on Nitric or Tannic Acid. That's the one which turns rust black. Even soaking a rusty part in strong pickling vinegar (Acetic acid) will bring it back to as-new (works pretty amazing but slow at that concentration) and Phosphoric acid is a great rust convertor.
All need rinsed off and probably at 5% strength with water is enough to work well but commercial ones have surfactants in them (wetting agents / break surface tension so it clings more)
Remember goggles and gloves...

What do you mean 'highest car taxes in the world?'
A new Berlingo MF 'Shine' equipment level(only one available here) is 365.800NOK(£30902) on citroen.no
The same is available for 259,990DKR (£30266) on citroen.dk
Sorry, but we in Norway have lost that competition a long time ago...
We still get 2 Berlingos to the price of a Tesla, though.

Ouch!
Do these new prices also inflate used car prices in your lands?
What about importing to save money, or do you have to register imports and pay tax on them anyway?
Are there social benefits created by such high taxes - health, education, roads?
