How to remove front bumper/grille/plastics

I did it without taking the wheels off or jacking up.....BUT it was harder than it should have been...

Is that black peice on the slam panel plastic? Reason I ask is im thinking of mounting an LED light bar to the front and need bolts going right through to the panel to bolt to it.....shame I cant see those existing holes from the front....

it's plastic coated over ally i think, if you're talking about the front crash bar
