Beeping.
#1
Hi Guys, I've got a 2000 X reg 1.9D multispace and twice now I've had a continual beeping sound even though non of the warning lights have been on. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks very much.

Doc..

P.s. It has only happened when the engine is not running but with the key turned to the first position.

Would check there are no lights out on the dash...

Any idea of what the noise is like?

Do all of the warning lights illuminate when the ignition is first switched on?
If everything appears to be working as it should it may possibly be cured by a BSI re-set.
It may however be prudent to have a garage with Lexia give it a scan and discover if there is a hidden problem.

Its telling you the keys are still in it.

Its coupled in with the courtesy light door switches.

Cheers Colin, thinking about it every time it's happened the keys have been in it and I've had the door open. Thanks again.

I didn't have the faintest idea what the beeping was, no mention of it at all in the owners handbook. I thought my old Mercedes V280 was complicated but that only had warning beepers for lights and handbrake.

Confusedillyme::whistle:
I had assumed that the beeping was happening while you were driving the car!! TADT!! If you open the doors with the key in and the engine off that's what happens.:lol:
