Gearchange borked
#1
I thought the gearchange was a bit wooly when I started out this morning. When I tried to reverse into a parking space (on the top floor of the multi-storey) it seems to have gone the other way and become really tight. I'm going to go and have a play with it when the frost is clear but without ramps and stuff it's going to be difficult.

Turns out to be the rubber bush in the longer gearchange linkage has perished. The linkage then dropped down the actuating rod which is why the gearshift became tight. Bound it up with self amalgamating tape and it drives perfectly.

I'll have to order a new one. I found some in the scrappies but trying to prise them off ruined the bushes.
