Don't Get Locked In The Back Of Your Van!
#1
I've recently taken delivery of a new B9 Berlingo L2 (LX model) van, and was surprised to find that Citroen (to save cost obviously), no longer fit the rechargeable torch in the back, nor the useful door pocket in the off side rear door. Nor do they any longer, fit an internal rear door release lever to the near side rear door, as I found out recently, when I got locked in the back lol! I was unable to use the large lever which releases the off side rear door to get out, because it was jammed solid against the near side rear door! Luckily, I'd fitted a bulkhead (of my own design) which allowed access to the internal release handle of a sliding side door (the L2 has two sliding side doors), so was able to climb out through the side!

Exactly! Your right I did the exact same thing and it works perfectly. I also cut out the plastic panel to gain access to the lock mechanism..
