Parking sensors on 2012 enterprise how to activate??
#1
Hi all just got a 2012 enterprise and am happy with it but can't seem to get the parking sensors to work?

just to confirm does every enterprise model come with parking sensors? i have the sliding door, steering wheel controls and bluetooth.

The parking sensor nodule circles things are present on the rear bumper but i dont seem to get any beep or beeps when i put it in reverse?

I have one button on the right side of the steering wheel with a sound wave type drawing and p on it but i think this is for the alarm?

When i play about with the radio settings the display in the middle it says parking sensors deactivated? and there is no way i can see to activate them with the buttons or i might be pressing the wrong buttons?

Thanks in advance.

Hi twobob

If its the same as on my 2013 XTR, the button to the right of the steering wheel does switch the sensors on and off.  When the sensors are on, there is a bleep when you engage reverse gear.  The button rather impolitely has 'P Off' written on it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys figured it out, i thought that button was for the alarm it was the p off button that was lit up so i turned it off and now the beep sounds when i engage reverse. It was the nut behind the wheel that was the problem :Smile

Just out of curiosity how far to the side does it detect roughly if at all?

I don't know about the van, but I'm pretty sure that in the Multispace the beeps come from the left or right speakers, depending on where the obstacle is.

I think with my van it comes from either speaker.

I'll try backing it into a wall tomorrow to see.

Oh and my display is rather exciting, it's in colour and the van is silver too!

Ooooh, you are posh. My display's orange, as mine's a 2014 vintage one. I'm going to get it resprayed orange to match the display now.

I'm a bit annoyed I missed out on the posh new stereo. On the other hand, the price went up about a grand, so it's an expensive toy.

Hahaha yes but don't forget I don't have heated mirrors!!!

The difference in price for me was only a few hundred quid - I paid £10500 for mine + VAT but then the VAT doesn't count I suppose as its claimed back.

Had I gone for the basic enterprise edition, I could have picked it up for £9300
