How much adblue and where is it best to buy it
#1
I've just had a message warning me "adblue is required and car will not start in 1300 miles".

How much adblue do I need and where is it best to buy it?

Is it just a matter of putting it in the adblue filler or is there a special procedure?

The 2020 car has done around 16K mikes.

Thanks

Depends on the age of your car.
My 2016 apparently takes 17 litres, but i just put a 10 litre tub in when the message pops up.
You should check the dates on the ad blu as it only has a shelf life of 12 to 18 months, a best before date if you know what I mean. I've heard of garages having "bargains" of short dated stuff.

I bought some at Aldi s @ £15.00 for 10 litres , just check the date on whatever you buy .

The container has a filler tube attached so it easy to fill your tank with.
Dont think there is any special procedure

Ref special procedure!

Don't get on clothes including shoes and avoid spilling on car as will corrode metal and rot clothing.
Rinse with water ASAP if you spill any.

Wear gloves too if you are sensitive and wash off skin ASAP.

16K is good, mine seems to need a refill after about 6 or 7K, 10 Litres seems fine to fill the tank, shop around, supermarkets, Halfrauds, independents.

Aldi? Thanks, I'll check them out although it's pot luck what they have in the middle aisle!

It was serviced at 10k so 7k will be similar to yours.

Thanks!
