Berlingo beats them all.......
#1
This time last week I was getting ready to head off to a 4 day showjumping extraveganza at Bolesworth in Cheshire.....

It absolutely peed down all day last Wednesday and when we arrived on site with our Berlingo, 3 occupants and a 13ft caravan, we came to a sudden halt in the lane onto the site. A steward came to us and said there may be a delay as they were towing vehicles onto the site..... Ho hum here we go.. then it was my turn, spied my chance and headed for a space, no problems driving across the field, around in a large arc then able to reverse up. No problem, drivers, I have s*it 'em....

Time to set up in the pouring rain and watch the antics of the clowns in their "Chelsea Tractors", most of them had not got a fekking clue. Think the furthest they had previously been "off-road" was the car park at Fortnum & Masons.....

Funniest thing I ever saw, while I lived in Russia: In my back yard, a BMW X5 was getting out, and a Nissan Patrol (or the expensive variant, I forget..) was getting in to the backyard. Because of the snow, they didn't have a chance passing each other, so they stood nose-to-nose for a while, honking the horn at each other. At this time, I thought, I better watch what happens..
So, what happened? Apparantly, they Nissan decided he had the least expensive car, and decided to back out back to the road. And how did he choose to perform this operation? Of course, he chucked it in R, and put his pedal to the proverbial metal (think most of the Patrol's interior is covered in carpets). And this is where I started laughing, the Patrol naturally digged a neat little hole for each tyre, and promptly he was got himself very stuck. At this time, the beemer decided to help out, he somehow turned around in the snow, hooked a chain to the Patrol, and - you guessed it - floored it. Result - a hanging beemer AND a hanging Patrol. Cue the laughing out loud from me.
At a safe distance, of course.
