True, but what kind of moron installs a separate loop from the accelerator and puts the control unit behind the glove box? No wonder they couldn't find it Rolleyes

Citroen UK? LOL
I spent many an hour on the phone to them when I had a Berlingo, they all work off a script and when you ask them something different then they don't know how to answer it.

Citroen should have noticed the accererlator cable was following a different path
I would assume as well that this control box would have its own fuse and wiring tool

Right, I've fixed it myself!

It was a little black box, hidden behind the glovebox. I just cracked it open and removed the fuse, took less than 10 minutes!

After all the time and money spent my only question is: Why the hell don't Citroen have a record of this on their computers?

The main problem is that they don't listen!

When booking it in, I tell them about the problem and explain that the ECU had one as well that had been turned off and that the problem was elsewhere.

When I go to pick it up, they tell me that they found the speed in the ECU and turned it off and should be fine. Then I proceed to bang my head on the wall and start again!

Sometimes i wonder if garages have time served mechanics or "Technicians" as they are now called.

Years ago if you were " handy " it was a natural progression to go into motor vehicle mechanics but nowadays it seems that business is more focussed on the " have a nice day y'awl " ..... aka.... H.A.N.D.Y approach rather than supplying an effective and positive outcome for the customer. What use is a smile and flashing white teeth apart from peddling sex ?

@homeruk "Amazes me that Citroen who should know these vans backwards, couldn't find it."

Are you serious, they don't even know their way around the system. I often have to help them by looking at the screen and point out what I need. Or tell them alternative words to use in the same shitty site I can view at home. As for the mechanics they are pretty much useless guys that follow the rule book and won't do anything out of the ordinary to pinpoint a problem. I avoid visiting that place as much as I can.

p.s They wouldn't even tell me what parts are shared between Citroen cars when I was after a top mount or a cat.
