Fault code P0121 TPS
#1
Hi, I've got a '07 plate Forte16v petrol 1600cc with an intermittent error code P0121 - Throttle position sensor.
This is a 'drive-by-wire' throttle, can someone confirm that error message means its a throttle body sensor and not a throttle pedal position sensor please ? ..... or could it be either ?
If its a throttle body sensor how easy is it to change ?

Thanks,
Kevin

Why don't you disconnect the pedal and check your readings for codes, if they have changed and/or extra ones or different one then you'll know which is which ?

Good idea 'brodfather11' ..... did that and that brings up two more fault codes, P0223 & P0228

A bit more searching and I've found that the original error (P0121) is "Throttle/Pedal position 'A' circuit"
and the other two (when the pedal is disconnected) are 'B' & 'C' circuits.

So I think I can assume its a throttle body sensor that's intermittent.
Thanks for your help.

Ebay here I come ......
