I have a problem with sliding door lock operating from inside but not outside. Door handle has not gone 'floppy' so I presume the operating rod and pin are all still ok. Looking at the release mechanism I can see that the amount of travel is less when the outside control is used as opposed to the inside control. Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the mechanism?

This is known to happen. It'll probably be the actuating pin that's broken.
You can get them from Poland from eBay quite cheaply...these are reputed to be stronger than the OEM part.
Hope this helps.

Just because the handles not floppy doesn't mean the pin hasn't failed. Its not difficult to get the door card off and have a look.
