[Engine] 2.0hdi, 55 plate MAF Sensor
#1
Hi all,
I have persistent fault codes P0113 and P0102 on my berlingo. Air intake temp high and low airflow. It clears on the OBD, but EML soon returns shortly after driving or when I next restart the engine.
EGR was deleted and blanked a year ago, but these MAF codes returned and kept going after about a week from delete. No limp mode nor loss of power when EML comes on.
MAF had been changed twice (one from eBay and one from my local parts supplier). Problem is the same whether MAF is plugged in or not.
Trawled on here but nothing specific found MOT is due very soon so getting urgent to fix! Can the MAF be deleted too?

The MAF failed on our M59 2.0HDI and the EML never came on, are you sure the codes are correct ?
So where does this bit go then ?

They’re the codes displayed on the obd reader. The guy that deleted the egr is returning to have a look. Said it could be a broken wire or fault mass? Whatever that is.
I wish my EML didn’t light up. MOT failure for no ruddy reason!

I also had a failed MAF - I figured it had broken because the default map was fairly heavy on fuel and the exhaust was smokey in following cars headlights. No eml.

I simply unplugged and blocked off the vacuum supply to the EGR - again no eml
