Its not causing any problem, its moving into gear fine, it just doesnt sound smooth. Sorry pretty disasterous description, and I guess probably little to worry about

If you don't know the history,change the transmission oil for a good synthetic.At least you will know the oil is clean.

Has it always been like that? or is it something you've only noticed recently?

Have you checked the gearbox oil level? or thought about changing the oil in the 'box?
