Ticking sound from dashboard
#1
Bought my self a Citroen Berlingo 2012mod this may. And very happy with it.
But I might be a bit picky but, last 1-2 weeks I've started to hear some intence "ticking"
sound from the dashboard. If you take a look at the picture it's around the area I've marked red.

It's quite intence, it comes and goes. Often when I maxed the heat up, but I've tried cold air too.

My first thought is that this could be a device inside the dash thats broken. But I've been in contact
where I bought the car and their just cratching their heads. This is really getting on my nerves because
I have really no idea what it is, just so annoying hearing it. And I've had alot of diffrent cars but nothing
like this issue.

I'm also suppriced that the car dealer have absolutely no idea what it is. I'm tempted to open up the whole
damn thing and take a look, but I have really no idea where to start or what to look for.

Do you have any clue at all what this could be? Confusedcratch:

A electrical relay working on and off?
Do you have air conditioning ?
Some heater/ac. systems have servo motors to direct cold/hot air with motorised flaps .

(or a clockwork motor used to produce a red ring hologram ):whistle::whistle:

ah yeah I have diesel. Yeah usually stops when motor gets warm, but occationally I can hear it even if water is warm, but alot more tence when motor is cold.

Is this "electrical heater" causing the ticking sound and is it replaceable?

Mine ticks faintly too after the electrical heater turns off when the engine hits approx. 70 degrees and the water heating takes over. After that no more ticking.
