Anyhoo, I've just snagged a £25 s/h Berlingo grille from thiefBay and will give the homemade route a go.

funkin' hell!! 150 notes for that grille, and you still have to paint it too...

I'm sure you could make something as good with that 2nd hand grille, and have it painted, and for half the price of the pre-made one.

I must admit that is a cool mod considering how subtle the change is  . Its got me thinking , there is a breakers yard not 2 miles from me , if part can be picked up cheap enough I'd have a go . Quite a few attempts before anywhere near £ 150 I reckon , I'll get me coat . . .

Started on my debadged grille.

One s/h Berlingo grille, with the black plastic insert removed.

Then via studious Dremel action, the centre bar and chevron is removed.

Alumium mesh hot-glued over the rear of the apetures.

Then fibreglass resin slapped in and sanded back.

There's a few little imperfections here and there, but overall I'm pleased. Being white obviously helps hide most of the pinholes anyway.

Just waiting for my plastic grille mesh to turn up, then I can finish it.
