Hi All

I am Jim, based in Essex, Owner of a Berlingo 2002 1.6 Petrol and in need of some TLC around cooling. The wife reported overheating and we found the coolant level critically low.

I topped up and the level has held but the engine keeps overheating now when in traffic. Looks like the fan might not be kicking in so reviewing causes and checks now.

Behold, I found this site. Happy days! All suggestions welcome.

Cheers

JIM

Hi & welcome.Even if it's not the cause of overheating, the thermostat may well be buggered by it.A good flush, check w/pump,new thermostat & good quality coolant/antifreeze will have you purring along.

Bleeding is critical - many overlook the head side bleed screw.
