Help CD Stuck!
#1
One of my CDs is in the radio/cd player and refuses to come out. It's the standard radio that comes with the vehicle. Is there a way of extracting it without taking the radio out? If not what do I need to extract the radio? I presume the 4 holes in the front are for something to push into?

I have extricated a couple out of house CD players and I cant imagine any way of doing it without removing the cover first. There is too much delicate mechanism that may get damaged if you fish around with tweezers through the slot. As to how you get it out I know that you can buy a tool to release the spring clips behind the fascia. Yes I think those holes are where you need to look.

My 2010 used to do this regularly - I'm so glad Ive got the usb socket source now.
I managed to get the disc out by holding the eject button down and cycling the ignition on and off.
Many times.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Well it spat the cd out this morning, no obvious reason why. I'm in two minds as to whether to put my Aldi do everything radio in now or not. At least the Aldi one takes USB sticks and SD cards.

I have a feeling the slot in the fascia doesnt perfectly line up with the loading gubbins

Release tools go into the holes and pull out the unit.

The connectors are standard iso fitment but theres nothing to stop citroen from swapping the wires polarity around - be careful wiith a different brand radio.

Is the radio coded? I have no code numbers for the radio so if I have to remove it to extract a CD in the future presumably I won't be able to use it again?

The CD stuck in my old 02 berlingo , It would try to eject but couldnt , took out radio and stripped down and took out 5 !!! cds, no not multi disc set just a childs plaything, the top gear music to drive to was one of them .Confusedillyme: After a bit of fiddling the CD worked again

And the radio worked OK and did'nt need a code. :woop:
