Hi guys and gals.
Currently running an 08 Merc Vito Dualiner Sport 204. Fantastic vehicle but my god is it thirsty!!!! Getting about 290 miles for £98.00 diesel!
Bought this 2.5 yrs ago and have loved every part of it apart from the mpg.
Dont need a huge vehicle any more but do like the practicallity as I run a couple of businesses and have dogs so looking to swap to a Berlingo Multispace XTR 1.6 HDi 90, a nearly new one if I can get the spec or even possibly a new one if I can't.
What sort of discounts are available on new? Any dealers better than others? Dealt with Citroen in Warrington before and they were much better than Wigan.
Cheers Dave.

Welcome Davy....Shame to say that the quality of main dealers is patchy; some good, some awful.

Welcome Davybull,
We live in Stoke but bought our vehicle from Citroen Manchester (South) at Sale which is about 40 miles away.
Speak as you find and we have always seemed to do ok with these guys whereas the main dealer approx 2 miles away appears to be bloody useless

Welcome kiddo. Really handy motors the Blingo's but do need TLC, especially the oil / turbo. My 09/1.6 /90/XTR very naughty in the snow (standard tyres mind you) and I am no speed freak. I
love it's versatility but still paranoid about it's reliability after some of the posts on the forum.
Mind you, it's rather like a doctors surgery, 95% of the visitors are not seeing the doc because they
are well if you see my drift.

I would like to know how the Berlingo stacks up against like vehicles in the reliability stakes.
I worked on many Berlingos before retiring,& know many owners beside.
The reliability is the thing that decided me to buy one.
I saw more VW's & Vauxhall vans with problems than our beloved frog.
What's your experience? Open question.

As far as reliability goes I didnt hear anything bad about citroens whilst I was a loyal vauxhall sufferer.
Plus I didnt hear of turbo failures until I joined this forum (after 6 years of citroen vans and my third DV6 engine)
There are millions of Blingos on the UK roads but we read on these pages of problems in the tens and twenties and it seems like a lot.
Its a bit like a few 737's or Airbuses develpoing a problem-theres thousands of the things running 24/7 so its a miniscule percentage
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
