Guy at lmf was certain he supplied the correct belt, said he'd never heard of a 1447 for my model. I know it's had a different sort of alternatorfitted at one time think it was off an 02 1.4 pug 302...

Think the tensioner pulley is borked. Put a new auxhiliary belt on (a 6pk 1437) which was the same length as the old on and the same thing happened, it began to slip off. Could see the t/pulley has l...

I thought smoking in cars was banned but apparently not. Just changed the alternator and the belt did'nt want to go on. When I finally got it on and released the tensioner I thought it was a bit tigh...

Is it that necessary. Surely you'd notice it straight away driving in the dark. Whether you can change one at the roadside is another matter.

Well that was weird. Think i was right and the visibleed valve was playing up! Connected it up to my foot pump and had to give it about 30psi before it freed itself and opened up, once unjammed seeme...

Apologies. I know this has got to be one of the slowest attempt at repairs going, not even sure if i'm halfway yet. More or less finished the rear end just thought popping open the front bleed nipple...
