Yesterday I thought I would put a multi meter across my battery to see how it is holding up as my mileage is so low. I unclipped the red cover for the first time and found the above. I assume that this is the positive side, any ideas where on earth the negative side is please?

Any good chassis point is the earth.
Or to the left of the row of positive contacts in your photo you will see a lift up tab (hard to unlatch sometimes). Lift this, and towards the back of the area now visible you will see the negative terminal. Your probe should be able to reach it.

I like the thread title, positively good.
It's a terrible pun, grounds for divorce.
Is there a strap between the engine and inner wing as well ?
So where does this bit go then ?
