Rustscrat mentioned the breather in an earlier post , did you check it to see if it was blocked? . If it is blocked when the g/box heats up the oil will expand and if no breather it will try to force the oil out anywhere it can. While there check the oil level , just take out the filler plug ((Depends what engine type you have.) in a plate about halfway down the side of the g/box, n/side ) and if the oil lips the hole its OK if it gushes out, too much oil in g/box. just let the excess run out and it'll find its own level. A square section plug key may be needed.
Dont get confused about what is the filler plug and what is the drain plug
If your level is ok then think about the seals that go under the control arm(gear selector shaft). Depending what g/box you have ,its a g/box out and strip down job  or a quick take off the control arm and prise out the old seal from selector shaft and fit new one.
