Was back to the garage with same problem , they sugested it was asda fuel and gave me a bottle of additive [forte] to put in tank , this seems to have cured the problem .I now put Shell diesel in tank and so far everything is fine .

Interesting about this supermarket diesel thing. Loads of stuff on forums about it. It is suggested the problems with it are due to no additives. Supermarket diesel can come from same depot as Shell etc but apparently the additive is added to the fuel by the driver during loading. Could be some truth in it, I suppose. I stick to branded fuel anyway.

I stopped using Supermarket fuel last October when i changed my car only using Shell, BP or Esso now. I dont know for sure but i think the supermarket fuel could be the reason the emissions were so high in the Berlingo?!

Try to get the garageman to accompany you or vice versa on a road test it doesnt sound as if theyre taking it seriously.Computers have made us all very lazy.
Its odd that some folk have problems with supermarket fuel and some dont.Im sure it could be down to the distribution depot for your region. Avonmouth is where our local supermarkets are fed from.Ive used just Tesco and Sainsburys branded fuel for decades without the slightest issue.
Another variable could be the behaviors of drivers themselves.I fill up to the top then run it right down to the warning lamp. -perhaps I dont give any sediment chance to accumalate?
Your local PFS may have a leaky or cross contaminated tank-they will deny this with vigour as the stigma will wreck their business for years.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

We also got that problem. And we run on Shell diesel.
Ours is also an automatic.
The garage have told us that some Berlingo's got that and there is no fix available at the moment.
Ours only do it when the motor is heating up - between 60 and 80 degrees I think. Feels like it either got too much or too little fuel. The fuel-consumption (according to the display) doubles when this happens.
Would be delighted if any of you find out what's causing this and make post, so we got somethign for the garage servicing our Berlingo.

I use whichever filling station is handy and reasonably priced - Tesco, or Morrisons both used regularly, also branded. Never had any problems. With a car as new as this I'd be taking it back to the dealer pronto and insist they investigate further - maybe contact Citroën too just in case things get worse.
As an experiment I too would run it as close to empty as I dare and thrn fill up with top notch fuel and see how the car performs. But really the dealer ought to be doing more than they seem to be imho.
