Hello there.

Using lexia you have to activate the cruise control stalk in 2 places: BSI and main ECU. If you only activate in BSI, you will get this blinking phenomena...as I had when I did my first installation...

My cruise control switch has a speed limiter but this is not connected as it needs a different accelerater switch to operate and this costs about £100 and I don't think I would use it that much.
Mine was fitted by the dealer and was just plugged in and the computer was programmed to accept it.
My son is the service manager and tells me that if the vehicle has the clutch switch it is ready for cruise control and does not need anything else but the switch.
I would get your dealer to check is the computer programming correct

hi. mine was like plug and play, it was that simple.........configured thru diagbox......[.berlingo xtr new shape.].  was your cruise stalk...... with cruise only or cruise with limiter.....

Wondered if you could help - Just bought a new shape 2014 XTR & looking to retrofit cruise control.  I have been led to believe it is relatively simple, effectively install stalk, then should be auto detected by the ECU (almost plug & play).

Can anyone advise.

Hi VicG welcome to the forum from what ive read on the forum it is relatively straight forward to retro fit cc. You can get a second hand or new stalk and its easy to fit in the column just a small amount of trim to dismantle but then you will more than likely have to get it activated using the citroen lexia software. Some dealers charge a fortune for this but there are plenty of independent garages and even members on here who can do it for a more reasonable charge. You need to check for various switches on the clutch and accelerator pedels also. We fit switches with the limiter, the dealers seem to only supply these. The limiter part just doesn't operate.
Prefer to use genuine switches, just so I know they will work well for the life of the car.
